APPOINTMENT OF AMBASSADOR DR. KODZO ALABO AS RECTOR OF SALT INSTITUTE
ACCRA, NOVEMBER 1, 2022 – The Board of Trustees of SALT Institute, at its 6th Meeting held in August 2022, approved the appointment of AMBASSADOR DR. KODZO ALABO as Rector of the SALT Institute effective November 1, 2022.
Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Dr. Alabo, who is a founding member of the Institute, served as a Member of the Board of Trustees in addition to his teaching duties at the Institute.
After an illustrious career spanning over 35 years with Ghana’s Foreign Service as a career-diplomat, Ambassador Dr. Alabo took up an appointment with the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD) at the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra, as the Diplomat-in-Residence, where he served at the rank of an Associate Professor.
Ambassador Dr. Alabo left LECIAD at the end of October 2022 to assume the role of RECTOR of the SALT Institute.
He will be taking over this position from Dr. Fatima Alabo who has been the Institute’s Acting Rector for the last three years. Dr. Fatima Alabo will now assume the role of Deputy Rector of the Institute.
The Board of Trustees wishes Dr. Fatima Alabo well in her new role as a member of the management team and expresses its gratitude for her excellent service and germane leadership of the Institute in recent years.
The Board also welcomes Ambassador Dr. Kodzo Alabo as he assumes the role of Rector of the Institute, and prays for God’s blessing and wisdom upon him as he serves in this august position.
