Affiliation to GIMPA means GIMPA, as a public institution, mentors(supervises) SALT Institute.
(Upon successful completion of your programme of study, you will receive a SALT Institute certificate awarded by GIMPA.)
The Institute was accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana in 2018.
Our Bachelor’s Programmes were accredited in 2019.
Our Master’s Programmes were accredited in 2020.
This means SALT Institute and all its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes have been certified / approved / endorsed by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), the agency responsible for supervising tertiary institutions in Ghana.

Undergraduate programmes: 4 YEARS (8 trimesters in all, i.e. 2 trimesters a year)

There are two (2) admission cohorts for Bachelor’s degree programmes per academic year: January and September.

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (Second Class Lower or better)
- WASSCE Applicants: Six (6) credit passes (C6 or better),including Core Mathematics and English Language.
- Matured Applicants: Matured Entrance Exams for persons more than 25years old.
- Other qualifications: Diploma / ‘A’ Level / HND /Professional Certificates, etc.
Postgraduate Programmes:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (Second Class Lower or better)
Undergraduate students are required to write Long Essays in their final year. Postgraduate students may choose to write a Dissertation or complete a Student’s Project. Additional details of these will be provided during the Orientation Ceremony.
Internships relevant to the student’s programme of study in local and multinational organizations are available for students of all programmes.
We have very seasoned lecturers selected from within and outside Ghana who have considerable years of experience in the programmes we offer, and have all been approved by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)

There are several international organizations resident in Ghana, International NGOs, the Foreign Service (Ministry of Foreign Affairs& Regional Integration), Ghana Immigration Service, etc. all of which require persons with basic understanding in international relations and diplomacy.
Leadership & Management graduates also have opportunity to serve in various fields and organizations, including banks, NGOs, religious organizations, church & para-church organizations, public & private enterprises, or for entrepreneurial (start-up) businesses.

Applications & Fees
Students are advised to pay their fees in full at the start of each semester if they can.
However, students who may not be able to pay all their fees in full at the start of the semester can follow our friendly fee payment plan which is as follows:
- 60% of a semester’s fee at registration
- 20% in the middle of the semester
- 20% by the end of the semester

Yes, a physical library is available at our campus and is open to all students from 9:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday. Students also have access to our e-library which has several unlimited online resources.

The Institute doesn’t currently have hostel facilities at the campus. Off-campus hostel arrangements within the city of Accra are however available upon request.
At present, sporting facilities are available at our off-campus hostel facility. When the Institute migrates to its permanent campus, there will be a host of indoor and outdoor sporting activities available.
